Quick and Easy Cheater's Sisig (Sisig Tamad) Recipe - Flavorful Filipino Dish

Servings: 4 Ingredients: - 1 pound cooked pork belly, chopped into small pieces - 1/4 cup Kewpie mayo (Japanese mayonnaise) - 1/4 cup Knorr Liquid Seasoning - 1 small red onion, finely diced - 2-3 green chili peppers (siling pang-sigang), finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference) - 2-3 cloves garlic, minced - 1 lime or calamansi, cut into wedges (for garnish) - Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish, optional) - Cooking oil for sautéing - Salt and black pepper to taste Instructions: 1.Prepare the Pork Belly:If you haven't already, cook the pork belly. You can either grill it, roast it, or pan-fry it until it's crispy and cooked through. Once cooked, chop it into small pieces. Make sure it's still warm when you proceed to the next step. 2.Mix the Cheater's Sisig Sauce:In a bowl, combine the Kewpie mayo and Knorr Liquid Seasoning in equal parts. Mix them well until you have a creamy and savory sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add a pinch of black pepper if you like. 3.Sauté the Aromatics:In a pan, heat a bit of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn it. 4.Add the Chopped Pork Belly:Add the chopped pork belly pieces to the pan with the sautéed garlic. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the pork pieces are heated through and slightly crispy. 5.Incorporate the Cheater's Sisig Sauce:Pour the prepared Kewpie mayo and Knorr Liquid Seasoning mixture over the cooked pork belly. Stir everything together, ensuring the pork is evenly coated with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. 6.Add Heat and Crunch:Toss in the finely diced red onion and chopped green chili peppers. Sauté for an additional 2 minutes to slightly soften the onions and peppers while maintaining their crunch. Adjust the amount of chili peppers to your desired level of spiciness. 7.Garnish and Serve: Transfer the Cheater's Sisig to a serving platter. Garnish with lime or calamansi wedges for that zesty kick. You can also sprinkle some chopped fresh cilantro or parsley for added freshness. 8.Enjoy: Serve your Cheater's Sisig immediately while it's hot. It's perfect as a pulutan (snack or appetizer) with a cold drink or as a main dish with rice. Squeeze some lime or calamansi juice over the sisig before taking a bite for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy your "lazy" but tasty sisig!
