Delicious Lemon Herb Chicken Recipe - Fresh and Flavorful
A quick and flavorful chicken dinner packed with bright lemon and aromatic herbs.
Ingredients
- 1 bone-in, skin-on chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).2. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon of dried
oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Place a chicken breast, skin-on, on a cutting board and make small slits all over the skin.
4. Rub the herb mixture over the chicken, making sure to press it into the slits.
5. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chicken, skin side
down, and cook until the skin is golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and squeeze the juice of half a lemon over it.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
8. Garnish with the remaining parsley and serve hot.
