Irresistible Dorito Tacos Recipe - A Flavorful Twist on Taco Night


Ingredients:


- 4 small soft taco shells

- ¾ bag of Doritos of your choice

- 6 tablespoons of BBQ sauce or hot buffalo sauce

- ½ brown onion

- 500g ground beef (there will be leftovers)

- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning

- 1 cup shredded lettuce

- ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 4 teaspoons sour cream

- 4 teaspoons salsa

- Coriander (optional)


Instructions:


1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

2. Prepare the Dorito Crumbs: Crush or blend the Doritos into a crumb-like consistency. Spread them out on a plate. On a separate plate, drizzle BBQ sauce.

3. Coat the Taco Shells: Dip one side of each soft taco shell into the BBQ sauce and then into the Dorito crumbs, coating the same side.

4. Hang the Dorito Tacos: Hang the Dorito-coated taco shells on a wire rack with a 2cm bottom base. Place the wire rack in the oven and cook for about 10 minutes or until the chips are crispy and the taco shells are hard.

5. Cook the Mince: In the meantime, in a pan, cook the brown onion, ground beef, and taco seasoning until the beef is cooked through and fragrant.

6. Assemble the Tacos: Prepare the tacos by filling each Dorito taco shell with shredded lettuce, the cooked beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, salsa, and coriander if desired.
