This recipe combines the healing properties of surana (yam) with the warming effects of 
black pepper.

Ingredients

  • 1 large surana (yam), peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish

Steps

  1. Peel and dice 1 large surana (yam) into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a wok or large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder and sauté for 1 minute to release the flavors.
