Deliciously Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta Recipe - Spicy and Satisfying
A delicious and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken, creamy sauce, and a Cajun kick.
Ingredients
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Steps
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken cubes and cook until
browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Saute until vegetables
are tender.
4. Add Cajun seasoning, paprika, and flour to the skillet. Stir well to coat the vegetables.
5. Gradually pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and
cook until the sauce has thickened.
6. Add cooked chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated in
the creamy sauce.
7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
8. Serve hot and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
