Texas Toast Steak Sandwich Recipe - Hearty and Flavor-Packed

The Texas Toast Steak Sandwich is a flavorful and hearty delight, featuring perfectly grilled steak, Dijon-mayo spread, fresh veggies, and provolone cheese on thick-cut Texas toast.

Ingredients:

For the Steak:
- 2 boneless ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, minced (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)

For the Sandwich:
- 4 slices of thick-cut Texas toast
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup arugula or spinach leaves
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of provolone or your favorite cheese

Instructions:

1. Start by marinating the steaks: In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, minced rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture over both sides of the steaks. Allow the steaks to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or you can refrigerate them for a few hours for even better flavor.

2. Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steaks to your desired level of doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steaks. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.

3. While the steaks are resting, prepare the Texas toast. Toast the slices on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown and crispy.

4. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread this mixture onto one side of each toasted slice of Texas toast.

5. To assemble the sandwiches, place a slice of provolone cheese on two of the toasted slices. Add a generous portion of sliced steak on top of the cheese.

6. On the other two slices of Texas toast with the mayo and Dijon spread, layer on the arugula or spinach, tomato slices, and red onion slices.

7. Carefully place the veggie-topped slices over the steak and cheese slices to form sandwiches.

8. If desired, you can grill the assembled sandwiches for a minute or two on each side to melt the cheese and warm everything through.

9. Serve your Texas Toast Steak Sandwiches hot and enjoy your delicious meal!
